I believe that people essentially want to be happy, connect to a sense of meaning and purpose in their lives and build good relationships. Taking a person-centred and collaborative approach, I can help you work on your relationship to yourself and others — to develop an awareness of what’s important to you, your strengths and what you want for your life.

I am a qualified and experienced counsellor and clinical supervisor, with Mental Health Social Work accreditation and a Masters Degree in Couple and Family Therapy.

For over 25 years I have worked as a clinician, clinical supervisor and program coordinator, specialising in mental health and couple therapy. I have experience working with the LGBTIQ community.

I Iike to keep my work fresh through up-to-date training, collaborative project work and mentoring of colleagues.

Whilst I mostly work from a family systems approach to relationship counselling, I also draw on emotionally focused therapy, family of origin work and communication skills training.

In my work with individuals I incorporate Acceptance Commitment therapy (ACT), schema therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness techniques.
